Water Pressure Loss

At approximately 11:30 pm on Tuesday, May 8th 2012, Langdon Waterworks Limited experienced a massive water loss to our system resulting in pressure loss and a water supply interruption.  By 2:25 am the source of the water main failure was detected and isolated.

The water interruption was caused by an unapproved connection to Langdon Waterworks infrastructure in the Hanson Estates Subdivision.  All efforts were made by Rocky View Utility Corp. staff to locate and remedy the situation as soon as possible.

Some residents of Langdon who are connected to the Langdon Waterworks water system may experience some discoloration in the water on Wednesday, May 9th, due to water surging in the water mains caused by water pressure loss.

Rocky View Utility Corp. staff will be testing water for quality assurance purposes throughout the day on Wednesday and a water flushing program will take place in order to clear the water lines.  This process is expected to be completed by Wednesday afternoon.

For residents with water discoloration or any other concerns please call the Rocky View Utility Corp office at (403) 935 - 8744 as this will help us remedy any problems that may have occured.

Previous Water Pressure Loss

Langdon Waterworks Ltd. have flushed the lines and have carried out water tests.  Water services have been back to normal since the early morning hours on Wendesday.  Langdon Waterworks Ltd. would like to thank its customers for their patience during the major water line break on Tuesday evening.
